How It All Began…
When I was a child, I spent hours exploring and playing outside in the woods by my home. I would lose all track of time, fully present and engaged with the trees, the creek and the critters in the more than human world. I loved to visit the ocean too.
The woods and ocean held strong medicine for me, and although I didn’t have a name for it then, I would come to understand this time spent engaged in nature as a practice called mindfulness. Perhaps you have similar memories of your childhood. I hope so because these were joyful days spent soaking in the wonders of the more than human world and feeling connection to all.
Later when life became more complicated, I found solace in the practice of yoga, which inspired me to return to presence, and honor the wisdom of my body. From there, I became curious about meditation and the formal practice of mindfulness.
In 2020, I was accepted into a two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program taught by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, pioneers of teaching Mindful Meditation in the West. In 2023, I graduated from the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification, Greater Good Science Center, University of CA, Berkley. In 2024 I became a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide through The Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT).
I hold a Master of Education, a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate, a Reiki Master Teacher Certificate, and a calling towards an array of somatic trauma-informed healing modalities.
I am pleased to share the healing practices that serve me on my own healing journey. My intention is to create a safe space where clients may explore their way towards more self-awareness, connection to nature, and mindfulness of body, heart and mind. This path leads to the capacity to open hearts, experience deeper radiance, joy and connection to self, others and all of creation. I am passionate about supporting others on their healing journeys.
